| Dr. Jesse Vegafria began his medical career in 1963 upon earning his MD from Manila Central University in the Philippines. His career, detailed to your right, speaks of his lifelong pursuit of making patients comfortable. With Anesthesia as his specialty, he retired from regular anesthesiology assignments in 2001 to pursue additional training in Medical Acupuncture. He studied Medical Acupuncture at UCLA in 2002-2003, and Advanced Pain Management in July, 2003. He opened his clinic in June, 2003. Medical Acupuncture is the term used to describe acupuncture performed by a doctor trained and licensed in Western medicine who has also had thorough training in acupuncture as a specialty practice. Dr. Vegafria can use acupuncture, Western medicine, or a combination of both depending on the condition in need of treatment. This offers the foremost combination of two medical arts to bring maximum relief and improve the lives of his patients. |
